ADDRESS

As a newcomer to our list Bistecca is an Italian-inspired steak restaurant located in Sydney, Australia. The restaurant is situated in a heritage-listed building with a rustic, authentic and intimate atmosphere.
The menu at Bistecca features a range of dishes that celebrate Italian culinary traditions, with a particular focus on high-quality cuts of meat. The restaurant is renowned for its signature dish, the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, which is a traditional Tuscan-style steak that is dry-aged for 40 days and cooked over a combination of ironbark and charcoal. The beef is sourced from Riverine, a region spanning across southern New South Wales. Complementing the steak are rustic-yet-elevated sides such as white beans or cavolo nero with confit garlic cream, followed by formaggio or a quintessential Italian dessert

The wine list curated by Greg Burley is designed to complement the delicious menu, based on the Tuscan tradition of Bistecca alla Fiorentina showcasing mainly positions made out of the two Italian grapes Nebbiolo and Sangiovese, since they are undoubtedly the best match for the Bistecca cut. The restaurant's interior is cozy and rustic, with exposed brick walls, wooden furnishings, and warm lighting that creates a welcoming ambiance. The bar area is also a popular spot, offering a range of Italian wines, spirits, and cocktails such as one of the best Negronis outside Florence. At Bistecca Sydney you will find a piece of authentic Tuscany down under.
